Something has happened to my one of my gifts. It was there, earlier, when I clicked on it! Now it is saying that "This work is part of an ongoing challenge and will be revealed soon!" and I can no longer read the fic.

Seems like an AO3 bug, as we tried un-approving and re-approving it without success. We don't have the contact information of the author to ask them to remove it then re-add it to the collection. But once author reveals happens, we'll be able to do more! Sorry about that.
