I love that Sersi is cheerful and optimistic and thinks giraffes are cute. I love that Ikaris chooses love over duty in the end (and then proceeds to be Extremely Dramatic about it). I love that Dane also thinks giraffes are cute and that taking the stairs is a perfectly sensible way to get up somewhere. I love that Dane suspects Sersi is a wizard (and would love an AU where that was true). I love that Ikaris tells Sersi that he wants to be hers (as opposed to the other way around) and then proceeds to make a dog's breakfast of everything. This is one of my favorite movies, and I love all the Eternals, so feel free to add cameos if you want.

AU ways of them getting together (or on the path to getting together) in canon - at Harvard? Group/pair work in one of their shared classes? Casual sex meetups that start because they're both gay and reasonably safe people? Maybe they can meet in one of the places Caleb canonically went to pick up men and after a while Caleb has the surprising realisation that he actually likes Peter a lot? Perhaps Peter, who with nothing to intercept him does go off to Cape Cod and his father’s campaign, later encounters a reporter he still recognises?

Or even just something where either of them notices the other during the pre-canon years. We know Peter spent some time looking at Caleb.

What if they were both women? (and so maybe at Radcliffe?). Magic AU? Love potion trope!

The holiday coda gave me a lot of things I liked: them agreeing to move in together, Caleb having a good friend who turns out supportive and so an occasion for him to be openly with Peter, the gift of the cashmere sweater so Caleb feeling comfortable enough to no longer count all his money and lead a threadbare life but to also spend money on things to make Peter happy (even though they agreed no presents! He really wanted to!), the fact that Caleb, for all his talk of being careful, apparently really wants to talk about his boyfriend (‘Peter’s name did come up’). Something in the vein of these elements would please me.

After Rabia imprisons the now magicless Barbara, she taunts her about how sweet she is now that she doesn’t recognise her old ‘sister’. They are both in the inner circle and must have known each other for many years, since Walpurgia accepted Barbara as a young girl. Is Rabia’s resentment of Bibi as being part-human and being raised among humans partially a resentment at losing Barbara? Barbara married not only a human man, but a human man who wishes his wife was not a witch; probably Rabia thinks this is a waste and Barbara is throwing away her potential. Frustrated bitter attraction?

If Barbara still gives up her magic powers (hopefully still temporarily), but doesn’t get imprisoned by Rabia, I think this provides a wonderful opportunity for some ‘identity porn’, with Rabia getting close to Barbara under false pretenses (maybe she’s trying to get invited to the house to steal the crystal ball more successfully). Please don't have Barbara (or Bibi) lose magical powers forever - fine if she doesn't have them for a time, but please no explicitly living this long-term. An attempt at seduction to take advantage of what appears to be Barbara and Bernhard's failing marriage?

Rabia sets off all her problems because of her dislike of Bibi as being part-human and being raised among humans. But from a modern perspective, the legal system of the coven leaves a lot to be desired. After Rabia breaks the crystal ball, Walpurgia passes summary judgement and refuses to allow another witch to speak anything in Rabia’s defence, offering only that they can call together a court, but that Walpurgia can only reveal to her the verdict. Rabia does wrong, but it is still an injustice. Help from Barbara, on principle? Witch law reform!

I like the idea that Barbara was always a Blocksberg. You don't have to make this clear, but I would rather not have her changing her surname to Bernhard's

I like how much Cindy grows and blossoms throughout the show and becomes more comfortable and self-assured. More of that?

Cindy actually gets her divorce from Lenny! (I think Lenny doesn’t fight it after their fight in the last episode).

Cindy taking steps on the road to self-actualisation, finds herself someone she chooses rather than who just chooses her. Maybe it’s only a short fling! She meets a nice butch lesbian at a consciousness raising session?

Cindy discovers that actually she likes women a lot (Cindy discovers lesbian sex exists? She was so taken with looking at her own vulva and with a little kiss). I like body hair and muscles on women. Cindy starts writing some more, maybe sends something off to a magazine to try to get it published. Just growth!

Obviously the canon is far from a matriarchy, but it would be fun if Cindy fell into dimension travel matriarchy and saw the women there. Like an ‘I am not an easy man’ AU.

Success for Daphne AUs (or just a brief moment in Necropolis through that angle)! Or just a fic about her seeking success. Nice and hopeful escape through some research and a bit of justified murder and a little cannibalism. Something about this long fellowship of women throughout the years and the sense of history and repeated actions – Nitocris returns again and again through these women who turn to her to escape abuse from men. Daphne's bitter and mixed feelings towards Christine. Just don’t make her regret it and wish she had quietly continued enduring the abuse instead.

His name's Elliot with one T; I think this got warped in the approval process.

I’d enjoy something exploring Griffin and Elliot’s relationship in Threshold in light of Griffin’s comments that his relationship with Whyborne has made him think less positively of his relations with Elliot and of Elliot’s behaviour towards him. I enjoyed reading about Elliot’s problem-causing and manipulations in canon and how obviously displeased he is that he can’t just pick things back up with Griffin and that Griffin’s changed too.

There are a few off-screen discussions Whyborne is aware of but not a participant in. Or afterwards! An AU where Elliot survives (whether he still offers or not), or an AU where a Chicago-era Elliot finds himself unexpectedly thrown forward in time to canon-time Widdershins?

Some of Elliot's experiences prior to the gang's arrival? The time he ends up with the yayhos and is the only survivor!

Bob Belcher: The best dad in the world! I'd love to see what his day to day is like, or maybe something showing how he was when the kids were younger, or maybe dating Linda for the first time? It can also be entirely silly, like seeing him get really into another fixation lol
Gayle: Something sweet with her and Linda, or maybe with one of the kids! I like her a lot, as nutty as she can be, and I think it would be nice to read something where she wins/succeeds for once
