Seasons of Drabbles

Authors have now been revealed, with an amazing 260 works in the collection as of now. Thanks you to everyone who participated and made this exchange possible, whether through signing up, treating, leaving feedback, or pinch-hitting. <3

The collection will remain open indefinitely for treating and moderation has now been turned off. We encourage you to continue reading and commenting as well. In addition, you may wish to redate your works, if you haven't already. Please note that AO3 might take a little time to completely reveal all authors.

The deadline has now officially passed! We've defaulted those who have not turned in an assignment; please get in touch if you feel this was in error.

We hope to have post-deadline pinch hits up soon, but before we can do so, we have a couple new email queries that we are waiting to hear back on within the next 24 hours. Please check your AO3-associated email once more in case we've emailed you!

The collection is scheduled to reveal February 25, 1:00pm Eastern time. Please feel free to write treats for participants in the meantime!

Exciting Update:lomelinde_laurea  has made an unofficial treatless spreadsheet for this round! Thank you so much! :D It can be found HERE.

We are told it will be updated until the end of the anon period, and that it includes users with either no or one gift. There are two sheets, one sorted by fandom and one sorted by username. We are unable to answer any questions about it since we don't maintain it, but we hope you find it useful for your treating plans.

Assignments have been sent out, a bit ahead of schedule! Some notes:

• The deadline is February 18th, 11:59pm Eastern time. If your assignment has not been submitted to AO3 by then, you will be defaulted.

• If your recipient did not request a fandom, character, and drabble type you offered, please contact the mods at seasonsofdrabbles@gmail.com ASAP.

• If you need to default, please do so via the button on AO3.

• For the requirements your drabble must meet, please see our guidelines. The collection is moderated and we will be doing a brief check of submitted works before admitting them into the collection. If we see an issue, we will contact you through email.

• If you write a drabble for a fandom in the tagset but it doesn't fit anyone's request, you may post it to the collection anyway, with no recipient.

Signups have now been closed! Here is the expected timeline for the next couple days:

• Like always, for the next 12 hours, we will be adding to people's signups upon request. This is intended for people who may have run into the character tagset bug when signing up close to the deadline, or whose nominations were approved late. However, anyone may ask to have characters added to their requests or offers. If you would like us to add to your signup, please post on the screened mod contact post or email us at seasonsofdrabbles@gmail.com. Please make sure to include your AO3 username.

• After that window has closed, we will check the matching and send out emails to anyone who is unmatchable on offers. We'll also be checking individual signups at this time in case we find any issues there; if there are, those emails will also go out sometime tomorrow. Everyone we email will be given 24 hours to respond. Hopefully there will only be one round of emails that need to be sent out.

• Barring unexpected delays, assignments will go out by Wednesday, February 8.

• A couple characters have been nominated under this fandom. Considering not all the movies share the same continuity, for the sake of clarity, would the nominator be alright with this nomination being changed to either X-Men (Original Timeline Movies) or X-Men (Alternate Timeline Movies)?

The Errant Prince - Megan Derr

• It seems like that book is actually written by Sasha L. Miller—could the nominator confirm who the author is?

Original Work

• Skinny Cat Man/Cat Boy (Original): We removed this nominated tag because it appears to be a relationship, but if the nominator intended it to mean a character (either a skinny cat man or skinny cat boy), please get in touch so we can re-add it in a different format.

Scorn (Ebb Software Video Game)

• Moldman (Scorn (Ebb Software Video Game)): We wanted to clarify whether this is the specific moldman the player encounters, or any moldman/potentially an original moldman.

Star Wars (Marvel Comics)

• For the sake of clarity, considering there are old Expanded Universe/Legends comics from Marvel that don't share a continuity with the more recent Marvel comics, would the nominator be alright with us changing the nominated fandom to "Star Wars (Marvel Comics 2015-)" instead?

Seasons of Drabbles is an exchange for the creation of drabbles and drabble variants. It will run once per season*. The current round is for summer 2022.

*4x per year, with each round taking place sometime sometime within a three-month period (March-May, June-August, September-November, December-February). Each round will take about a month from nominations through author reveals.
