...okay, I'm gonna say it: I'm not wild about the AI-generated canons rule addition. Firstly, do we have any actual examples of such? Has anyone requested an AI-generated canon before? If not, this seems like an unneeded rule that does nothing but signal the mods' subjective opinions about AI. Secondly, if someone sincerely requests a canon that was made with AI... what is the problem with that? Nothing's being sprung on anyone. Any person can simply choose not to offer that canon. At worst you could say that someone might look up and consume that canon for the sake of the gift without realising it was made using AI, but that opens up SUCH a can of worms around disallowing canons simply because they might be objectionable to someone unaware. Should we also disallow canons made by problematic creators? If not, why is AI so different?
If nothing else, if you do insist on this rule, you should probably change the rule stating that 'all fandoms are welcome', as that clearly is no longer true.
