I'm fascinated by the world of magic these films introduced. I love the glimpses we get into Lionel and Thaddeus's relationship (and I very much ship them if you want to go there), as well as Dylan and Thaddeus coming to terms with each other today. I'd also be down for pure worldbuilding.

This delightful, sweet duo! I've been really enjoying their segments, their supportive friendship, the way they're different (one is a man, the other is the only dog of his kind, what with his being a muppet) but they celebrate and work to bridge their differences. I love that they make music together. I'm especially taken with how in spite of their careful scripts, Rowlf loves to pun and (seemingly?) to extemporize, and how it makes Jimmy Dean crack up, as though genuinely surprised. They just look like they have a lot of fun and are so fond of each other and kind to each other. I'd like something about that, or about one or the other of them at work on the show.

Bucky is my favorite, but Satchel is not far behind, and really it's the contrast and interplay between these two that makes the comic work (with Rob there as straight man and long-suffering breadwinner of course). Bucky is just so small and so oppositional and antagonistic and bigoted towards anything that's not a cat. (Or anything that Rob and Satchel like, even though secretly he loves them and the fact that they're his family as much as they do.) Satchel is so very, very sweet and caring. And they're both so clueless, but surprisingly deep, within their limitations. I really like the contrasts, and the use of language (especially the animals' misunderstandings and sometimes brilliant accidental wordplay), and the humor that's based on the fact that Bucky is very much a cat and Satchel is very much a dog, but they're also speaking, thinking beings with a lot of misconceptions.

I'd love to see any of the three young people's perspective, or something focused on the house itself (though I'm more interested in the young people's relation with the house than with the ghost story that we already see in the canon, or with Jane Wingrave or Sir Philip's relation with it). If you'd like to group any of my requested characters in a relationship, that would be interesting to me. In general, I'm interested in the way Owen is a noble creature so shaped by his heritage and yet turning apostatically from it...and this leads him to allow it to destroy him for his refusal, a martyr to it. (Whatever it is that actually happens in the locked room.) And I'm interested in how Kate Julian plays into this, and in how poor guileless Lechmere sees it all.

These are probably my two favorite characters in the musical, and I'm fascinated both by each of them alone and what we see of their story and personality, and by the dynamic between them. I liked how we don't see much of anything happen because of it (beyond the rapport that helps them allow the relationship between Clara and Fabrizio; and the part it plays in Margaret's personal realizations), but the possibility is there. They're both so formidable and judicious but seem to crave or yearn for that one recklessness or the connection...and I really enjoy how much they enjoy and are intrigued by each other (all while negotiating fiercely) , as individuals but perhaps also as symbols of everything they are reaching for, because I am intrigued by each of them too!
I also love the lushness of the musical--and I think the fact that the adaptation minimizes the 'tourist comedy of manners' aspect of the short story in favor of a love affair between visitors and place and inhabitants and possibility works well with the medium, and with Guettel's composition style--so that's something I'd enjoy seeing reflected too.

I am in the third novel for this series (I have watched half of the televised series and will watch the rest once I've finished reading the series). What I love about the novel is that we get so much more depth in character and some stories that are not included in the television series. I also like the whole 'pulling pigtails' vibe that we get from a young Wei Wuxian with how he tries to get a rise out of Lan Wangji. In the novel, their mutual love is so much more obvious. It reminds me of Gilbert from Anne of Green Gables with how he would do whatever he could to get a reaction out of Anne and how she constantly rebuffed him.
Some more exploration of their childhood - a scene not included in the novel, would be fun.
A story set after the series in which Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji have their own found family - adopting a child or children who have been abandoned?

History 3: Trapped
This is my comfort show. I have rewatched the series multiple times and when I need some comfort, I watch certain episodes over again. For gift exchanges, I often ask for stories featuring my favorite couple: Tang Yi and Meng Shao Fei (OTP) because I love this series that much. Having said that, I also like the chemistry between Zuo Hong Ye and Gu Dao Yi (a pairing exception to my DNW with regard to F/M) and would have liked to see more of their side story. I do like Jack and Zhao Li An as well, they are adorable together. I also with that Chen Wen Hao had lived longer to actually build a relationship with his son.

I read a translation of the novel and have not watched the series yet. I have read a ton of fanfiction for this series, though and there is a lot I have enjoyed in it. What I like in the novel is the way that the author handles the sexual violence and the drugged sex (dubious consent) by having the characters actually experience the emotions related to the trauma and that it isn't just brushed aside. The characters feel suicidal and go through bouts of depression. They go through identity crises as well. It gives the novel a sense of realism that I think is often lacking when authors write about these particular topics. I dislike the romanticizing of rape.

I really like the idea of found family for this movie. I'd like to see Tim, Dick and Jason being loved and cared for by Bruce, Alfred and Selina (another exception to my DNW of F/M is Bruce and Selina). Something that revolves around domestic fluff and gaining the boys' trust would be cool.
