Feedback on Spring Round and Summer Round Timeline

With the Spring 2025 round now at an end, we would love to get your feedback on a few things!

First: When would you prefer the next round take place (between June, July, and/or August)? We'll take this into account in combination with the mods' availabilities to create the next schedule.

Second: Off the heels of our largest round so far, it seems like a good opportunity to hear general feedback on what works and what could be better. Are there rules or expectations we could clarify? Suggested changes to the generative AI rule? Something else?

I think June has a number of impending deadlines, so hosting in July or August would give people more time to plan their schedule out. Otherwise, I think this rounds was well run and I had a lot of fun!

The rules/structure all seem to be going really well. Given that there are a few other exchanges with deadlines in June, July might work better for the summer round, although this one is such a small commitment in comparison that it probably doesn't make a major difference. Thanks for all you do to keep this event running!

What happens if we still don’t have a comment from our Spring round recip?

Very sorry to hear that. We know that not getting a comment from the recip can be really disappointing.

Though we heavily encourage comments on gifts, we don't enforce it. Enforcing comments on gifts adds significant work to the mods' plates. In addition, there are a lot of reasons someone might not comment.
